This Volvo 850 T5 was dropped off yesterday, the owner wants me to give it a good looking over as it's a relatively recent purchase. From what I've seen so far it's in excellent order, belying the near 200000 miles that are on the clock. So far the biggest problem I've found is due to a modification to the wastegate carried out by the previous owner, it was positioned such that it tore a hole in the idle air valve hose. A new hose is on its way from Germany and I'm going to rearrange the wastegate positioning. The current owner had part fitted a 7 seat conversion kit in the boot, I found a suitable video on YouTube and have installed the seatbelts - they had appeared to be stuck but it was just a matter of working out the mounting position and finding enough slack in the belt to get past the locking mechanism. Next week I'll cary out an oil and filter service and that'll about do it.
