'68 Ford Mustang in the workshop

This '68 Mustang was dropped off earlier this week with a view to checking it over and making it reliable. It was supposed to be driven down on Monday but ended up being trailered as the owner didn't feel confident it would make the trip. I'm glad he went this way, on arrival the steering ram bracket had pulled the captive nuts from the frame and it wouldn't turn right. The owner has fitted a 302ci engine but it needs snagging, the battery leads are a fire waiting to happen, particularly if you tie that in with a non-ethanol proof fuel hose from the pump to the carburettor. I'm going to fit moulded battery cables and a steel fuel line as a start, it shouldn't really need any other parts as everything is pretty much brand new. As for the steering ram bracket I'll have that welded to the frame, it's a non standard item that's needed to prevent interference with the headers that are fitted but it's not really up to the task. Once I have it up in the air I'll be able to have a better look into what else it might need.
