de Havilland Gipsy Major 10 engine coming soon

A good friend of mine has been hinting about this de Havilland Gipsy Major 10 engine for a little while and now he's allowed me to share a photo of it. It's an air-cooled inline 4 cylinder of 6.1 litres, supercharged it developed 200hp, this is an earlier version but it does have electric start. These are mounted inverted in an airframe but it could be run 'upside-down' in a car, with a little tweaking. On the other hand, if you have a Gipsy Moth in need of an engine this could be your lucky day. All indications are that it is a low hours and well cared for engine that has been correctly stored for 75 years. Watch this space.
