Jaguar E-type out of the workshop

Regular visitors to the workshop might have assumed I'd taken ownership of this E-type, it's been in so long I thought it was worth mentioning that it has finally left the building. The engine needed a little adjustment to the timing chain tension after initial running and I also had to swap a valve shim, that finished off the full rebuild. The work on the front suspension and steering was all ok and the interior certainly looks and feels a lot better than it did. Another delay was caused by brake problems during the later test drives, the rears were binding so a set of Coopercraft pistons have been fitted, and the booster was sticking on so I rebuilt the master cylinder, reaction valve and servo. It went home on Saturday, will be coming back in a few weeks for a full check over and oil change.
