I have done a few jobs on this Triumph Stag over the years, the owner dropped it off today to have me look into an intermittent starter motor problem and also a full check of the brakes. It sounds like the starter motor is an after market high torque unit, I think it's been on there for a while but they just don't last as long as the original.
