This Sunbeam Rapier was dropped off this morning, its new owner had a bit of an issue with the drivetrain that he wanted me to investigate. It didn't take long for the problem to be apparent, there was barely an egg cup full of oil in the axle and no connection between the pinion and the half-shafts. The off-side half-shaft was all ok, if the near-side is the same then I'm guessing the differential's time has come. I'll find out tomorrow.
