The Rover P5 that came in along with the P3 a couple of weeks ago has been added to the Inventory. It really is a remarkable car, all original paint, chrome, interior, etc. and it looks fantastic and the trophy cabinet certainly backs this up. I did find a couple of small jobs to do on it, the outer track rod end gaiters and one of the drop link bushings had deteriorated so all 8 bushings have been replaced and new gaiters fitted where required. Whilst the engine runs sweetly there was a distinct and inappropriate noise coming from the front end, identified as a worn out water pump bearing. I've got the water pump off right now, as the car is so original I'm going to try and have this pump rebuilt rather than replaced, I have a feeling I'm the first person to remove it from the engine.
