Derby Bentley, more engine assembly

The Derby Bentley is a little further along this week. The crankshaft & associated parts came back from being balanced so the crank is now mounted and the main bearing oil pipes are fitted and secured. There was a small delay while I waited for the correct lock washers to come, when they were dropped off I could fit the various gears into the timing chest. There was a bit of an issue with the oil pump/distributor drive, the thrust washers were incorrect and the gear was picking up on the crankcase. On this type of engine I replace all of the cylinder head studs as a matter of course, unfortunately the supplier was only able to provide me with half of the longer studs so there will be another delay as I wait for the back order to be fulfilled. Once these turn up I can get the block back on, pistons installed, head on, etc..
