Bristol 400 in the workshop

The Bristol 400 I look after came in yesterday for a couple of small electrical jobs. Both were brake light related, the right side and the high level LED unit both not working. It was initially thought the faults might be combined but it turned out to be just a blown twin filament bulb and a poor Lucas 4 way connector causing the right side fault. The high level fault was more strange, the car is positive earth yet the negative wire of the unit was connected to the frame and the positive to the switch which, if you know anything about LEDs, is never going to work but the owner assured me it has been working up until recently. Anyway, I swapped the wires over and it's all good now.
