One of my customers bought this E-type in the tail end of last year, we went and looked it over first as it was relatively local. He knew it was going to need some work and the first things we took care of were the cooling system (new aluminium radiator and all new hoses), the leaking exhaust (full stainless system including headers - sounds beautiful) and a front brake upgrade (bolt on kit from Coopercraft, excellent quality & easy fit). Now that it's been driven for a few months the owner has asked me to upgrade the rear brakes with the Coopercraft kit, fit Goodridge braided brake hoses & do a proper tune up on the triple SU carburettors - it has tendency to fluff its lines when you first get on the gas so there's likely a mixture/balance issue.
