The owner of the Boxster I have in the Inventory took it for its MoT test the other day and it failed on the rusty rear brake pipes. The guy at the test station told him they could fix it but the engine would have to come out so he asked me to take a look. Fortunately I found that the engine could stay where it was, there was enough stretch in the pipe that crosses left to right behind and above the engine that it could be pulled out relatively easily. Matching the bends on the newly fabricated pipe was a bit tricky but it went in ok and was only ½" out at the wheel end. Sorting out the left side pipe was a piece of cake, bleeding was straightforward and it went for retest this evening.
