This Turbo R was dropped off yesterday for a few small jobs so today I looked into the first on the list - front nearside door would not lock or unlock. With the door card and liner removed I could see all of the rods were ok but the small cotton reel mounts that held the solenoid assembly to the frame had all perished and the solenoid was basically floating and holding the door unlocked. New mounts have been sourced, next step is to find out why the heater flaps are not operating correctly.
