This Mustang has come back in for a little bit of investigation work. Earlier this year I fitted a new carburettor that suited the engine better and also allowed for a kick-down rod, that work has turned out just fine, but it is appearing to have a vapourisation issue. When hot it just won't start, I tried removing the unnecessary fuel pressure regulator & hoses and that made a difference but didn't cure it. I'm going to get a new fuel pump & fabricate an insulated solid fuel line to the carburettor, will see if that helps.
