1935 Lancia Augusta
This delightful Lancia Augusta has been in the current ownership since 2006. It's a very solid car that is showing just the right amount of wear and tear. The 1196 V4 engine was rebuilt in 2007 and starts on the button, shows good oil pressure and sounds very sweet. Lancia's famous sliding pillar independent front suspension helps to make the car feel well planted and it handles beautifully for a car of this period. The gearbox & clutch are working as they should, simple to use and relatively quiet in operation. The interior is very nice indeed, the rubber mats in the front and carpet in the back are in excellent condition, headlining too. The driver's seat has a couple of scratches but there are no tears in the leather-cloth and the rest of the seats present really well. The door fit front and back is great with all 4 latching securely. As you can see from the photos the bodywork & paint, whilst in no way concours, looks just right for this age of vehicle. There is no rust in the steel body or any signs of corrosion in the aluminium wings. There are some cracks in the paint surface but they certainly do not detract from the overall appearance. The owners have driven all over the country to attend Lancia Club events, it is a car that can be used and enjoyed. Please call for more details and to arrange a test drive.
